Shaun Escoffery (Range 16-30)
Born and raised in East London, Shaun attended Barking College of Performing Arts for two years, leaving with a B-Tec National. He went straight into "Mama I Wanna Sing" with Chaka Khan, followed by the roles of Hawker in "Tommy" and Shaun in "Smokey Joe's Café" .
A fabulous singer, he's had record deals with SONY and EMI, with rave reviews for his 2 albums.
Shaun played Hamilton in the workshop for "Come Dancing", and Enjolras in "Les Miserables". He appeared in "Parade" at the Donmar in summer 2007, playing Newt Lee and Jim Conley - for which he's been nominated for 'Best Supporting Actor in a Musical' for both the Olivier and What's On Stage Awards. He plays Mufasa in "The Lion King" from April 2008.
Rich, husky, and versatile, ranging from young 'street' London to American, Nigerian and Jamaican with ease. Enthusiastic, delightful personality.
