Robert Booth
(Range 40-60)

Educated at Bedales School and King's College Cambridge, he then attended LAMDA. Robert combined acting in rep, cinema and TV with teaching English to foreign students in London and Europe.

He worked as a newsreader/continuity announcer on BBC Radio 4 for several years, and then became writer/presenter and interviewer on such BBC features as Woman's Hour, Moneybox, The World Tonight, You & Yours and Outlook.

Documentaries too - writing and presenting The Needle's Tale, Backstage in Parliament, and A Priest at the Altar of Literature. He devised and presented the BBC radio series Could Do Better (for Radio 4), and Three Wishes (for World Service).

Robert has a believable, gravelly, authoritative voice, and his credits for voice work are numerous …. British Telecom, Butlins, M.O.D., Mastercard, Sun Life, Duracell, Shiphams, Sunday Express, Galaxy Chocolate ….. as well as presenting-to-camera on widely varying corporate work such as The Vets Video, and DHSS New Training Software.

Before his recent extended stay in France, Robert was a popular weekend presenter on Classic FM.
