Noma Dumezweni
(Range 20-40)

Born in Swaziland, of South African parents, her family moved to Suffolk, where she was educated, then later to London.

Her extensive theatre work includes seasons at Chichester, appearing in "The Coffee House", "Nathan the Wise", "The Master & Margarita", and "A Midsummer Night's Dream". For the RSC, she's appeared in "Much Ado About Nothing", and "Anthony & Cleopatra", and for the Young Vic, has starred in "The Blacks", "Skellig", the wildly successful "A Raisin In The Sun" and "Mugabe". Her one-person-show "The Bogus Woman" won the Fringe First & Manchester Evening News Awards.

TV work includes "Silent Witness", "Holby City", "People Like Us", "EastEnders" and "The Knock", and on film she's appeared in "Dirty Pretty Things", "Macbeth", and "Rugby Road".

With a voice like liquid velvet, it's not surprising that Noma has featured in numerous radio plays for BBC radio drama, and her facility with accents, including South Africa, Nigeria, Botswana, and Swaziland, Trinidad and Jamaica, and American Deep South, makes her an original and most welcome newcomer to the team.
