London born & bred, Michael began his career as a singer-songwriter, with recording deals with Phonogram, EMI & Warner Brothers. A near-fatal car crash in 1991 was the catalyst for a new career. He then studied for three years at the Lee Strasberg Institute.

Extensive theatre work followed, including "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Flip", and the title role in "Macbeth" (Lyric). He made his West End debut playing The Narrator in "Blood Brothers" (Phoenix).

Loads of TV too, including leading roles in "A Touch of Frost", "Urban Gothic", "Lock Stock - the Series", "The Bill", "NCS" and "Danielle Cable". He also played DI Trevor Hands in two series of ITV1's flagship "M.I.T." and can be seen as 'Dr. Nick West' in BBC TV's "Doctors".

Film work includes "Essex Boys", "Blood", "The Lowdown", "Bar" and "Inferno" (London Film Festival). His latest role was the lead in "Beneath Still Waters", filmed in Madrid.

Michael starred in the West End in the Rod Stewart musical "Tonight's the Night", creating the Jagger-esque character of Stoner, a full-on, high energy, rock'n'roller, with songs belted out at the threshold of pain !
