Jeff Rawle
(Range 30-50)

Born in Birmingham, Jeff has an excellent ear for Midlands & Northern accents. Trained at L.A.M.D.A. He appeared in a number of stage plays, but first came to stardom playing "Billy Liar" in 2 series for LWT.

He's since played many straight parts on TV - "Bergerac", "Minder" "Fortunes of War", "EastEnders" & "Boon" (etc) - but he's really cornered the market in down-trodden ditherers, as George Dent in "Drop the Dead Donkey", as Paul in "Faith in the Future"; "The Life & Times of Henry Pratt" and "Neville's Island". He featured in "Microsoap", a childrens' series for Disney/BBC, and appeared in "Fish" and "Dalziel & Pascoe".

Advertisers love his quirky, basket-case characters, and he's appeared on many campaigns including British Midland, Multiyork, Eurostar, Ford, Daily Telegraph, Fiat, Auto Exchange, Bank of Scotland & Sainsbury. He was narrator on 3 series of "Budgie, The Little Helicopter", and on documentaries including The Gulf War, Tourist Trouble, The Real Spiderman and Movers & Shakers.

Jeff's also a prolific writer - he co-wrote "The Young Poisoners's Handbook", a grim tale based on a true story, and has other film scripts in the pipeline. He appeared in the farce "Noises Off" in the West End and on tour, and recently toured in the play "King Of Hearts". Films have included Tim Firth's "Blackball", and the BBC's "Death and Holy Orders".

Recent TV includes "The Royal", "Heartbeat", "Bedtime Stories", "Doctors" and "Holby City". He played a cross-dresser in "William & Mary", and appeared again with Martin Clunes in four episodes of "Doc Martin". Also featured in "Ultimate Force" with Ross Kemp and played an Ozzy Ozbourne impersonator in "Casualty". Jeff appeared as Amos Diggory in "Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire"
