James Lailey (Range 25-40) Born and raised in Somerset, near Glastonbury, he was educated locally, then trained for a medical degree at Oxford and Cambridge. He worked as a doctor for a time, then followed his heart by changing career and becoming an actor! And a good career move that turned out to be. He's regularly been on our screens in "Casualty", ""Wire in the Blood", "London Bridge" and "Where the Heart Is", etc. and has appeared in many stage productions, including "The Song of Singapore" (Chichester), "The Winters Tale" (Bath), "Threepenny Opera" (National) and recently, as one of the three Dads in "Mamma Mia!" (Prince of Wales). A very comfortable voice, quite bloke-ish and everyman, but very commercial too. James specialises in West Country accents, and has a calm, authoritative narrative style. He sings, plays and arranges too. The ideal voice, even when you're not sure what that is!
