Iain Glen
(Range 25-45)

Iain was born in Edinburgh in 1961, and trained at RADA, where he won the Bancroft Gold Medal in 1986.

He quickly became a sought-after young actor and appeared in many plays and films from 1987 to 1993, including "Gorillas in the Mist", "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead", and "The Young Americans". In the mid-90s, he appeared on TV in "Death of a Salesman", "Painted Lady", "Trial and Retribution" and "Wives & Daughters", later followed by "The Wyvern Mystery", "Glasgow Kiss" and "Anchor Me".

His many films include "Gabriel & Me", "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider", "Mountains of the Moon" and "Silent Scream" - making him a multi-award winner including Baftas, Evening Standard, and the Silver Bear in Berlin. More recent films include "Song for a Raggy Boy", "Spy Sorge", "Man to Man", "Kingdom of Heaven", "Resident Evil" and "Keeper of my Soul".

However, Iain is perhaps best-known for his extraordinary range in the theatre, from winning many awards for classical performances - "Hamlet", "King Lear", "Coriolanus", "Macbeth" and "Henry V" - to Best Actor in a Musical for "Martin Guerre".

He starred with Nicole Kidman in "The Blue Room" at the Donmar Warehouse (Olivier nomination), transferring to Broadway (Drama League Award). He appeared at the National Theatre with Glenn Close in "A Streetcar Named Desire" and most recently in "The Seagull", directed by Peter Stein.
