Gina McKee (Range 25-40)
Gina's a native of County Durham, so has cornered the market in "Geordie" and North Yorkshire voices.
After stints with the National Youth Theatre of GB, Gina has appeared in "Hammett's Apprentice", "Uganda", "Five Kinds of Silence", "Old Times", "The Aristocrats" and "The Exonerated". On radio she has recorded "An Actor's Life for Me", "Shelly", "The Aeneid", "Emotion Pictures" and "Never Go Back".
Her TV appearances include "Our Friends in the North" (which won her the BAFTA for Best TV Actress 1996 and BPG TV & Radio Award). She has since starred in "Brass Eye", "Element of Doubt", "Beyond Fear", "The Passion", "The Forsyte Saga", (2 series), "The Blackwater Lightship", "The Lost Prince" (nominated for Best Actress BAFTA 2003 & BPG Awards), "The Baby War", "The Lavender List" and "Tsunami". For Radio, Gina recorded Harold Pinter's "The Homecoming" - BBC Radio 3.
Gina's films include "Naked", "The Loss of Sexual Innocence", "The Croupier", ", "Women Talking Dirty", "There's Only One Jimmy Grimble", "Wonderland" (nominated for Best Actress 1999 British Independent Film Awards), "Notting Hill", "Mickybo And Me", "Mirrormask", "The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood", "The Reckoning", "Scenes Of A Sexual Nature", "Atonement" and "When Did You Last See Your Father?".
With a special quality beloved to advertisers, Gina has recorded many commercials including Pantene, NatWest, Bold, Greggs, Nationwide, Boots, Samaritans, DVLA and Anti-Smoking. She's also narrated documentary series, such as "If You Can't Stand the Heat …." for Channel 4, and "Premier Passions" for the BBC, along with "Gene Therapy" (BBC), "Barbara Hepworth", and "Separated At Birth".
