Cheryl McAvoy (Range 25-40) Cheryl was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, (hence native Geordie available), and was raised in Nottinghamshire. She trained at the London Studio Centre, graduating in 1992. She has worked extensively in musical theatre both in the West End, and in Repertory theatres such as the West Yorkshire Playhouse and Stratford upon Avon. Her credits include Vicki Nicolls in "The Full Monty", Sally in "The Hired Man", Pearl in "Starlight Express" and Kathy Seldon in "Singin in the Rain" - her favourite role to date. Other shows include "Cats", "The Secret Garden", "Pal Joey" and "Peter Pan" - where she played a feisty Tinkerbell on rollerskates! As one would expect from a professionally-trained singer, the voice is lyrical and lovely, with a frisky element and lots of vitality. Her story-telling skills are terrific, and her sparkling voice has a very "today" sound. Cheryl's commercial credits include IKEA kitchens, DFS sofas, and the new ITV Play Channels.
