Ricardo Afonso Vocal Range Bottom C to top G. Ricardo was born in Luanda, Angola, then the family moved to Portugal. Always interested in music, at a young age he formed a "covers" band (guitars & vocal), which played all the local venues in Lisbon. He trained in theatre, music and movement classes in Portugal, working with the Companhia Teatro Alberto (Open Theatre Co.), the Teatro Politeama & Teatroesfera, before being discovered by a Disney producer - (as you do) - leading to his singing & voicing on many Disney and Dreamworks animated features. He spent a while as principal singer on the Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Mary II (Cunard line), before moving permanently to England. With a remarkable range, moving effortlessly from operatic aria to rock, this dynamite singer can be heard as Galileo in "We Will Rock You" at the Dominion Theatre, marking his West End debut.
