Vocal Range Bottom G to top B flat.

Trained at the Guildford School of Acting, on graduating he went into the original cast of "Miss Saigon". This was followed by "Sweeney Todd", "Piaf", "Jesus Christ Superstar" (Simon/Judas) "Pacific Overtures" (Shogan/Dutch) "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" (Linus), "Pirates of Penzance" (Frederic), and "Hot Stuff" (Joe Soap), which went on to be a number one UK tour.

Major West End credits include "Les Miserables" (Marius), "JCS" (Simon), and "Oscar". He played Bernard in "Jean de Florrette" and recorded a new version of "Hard Times" (Tom) for Imagination/BBC. Michael appeared in concert with Ruthie Henshall & Bernadette Peters, RFH, and also appears in "Hey Mr Producer!" (DVD/Video), celebrating Cameron Mackintosh's contribution to world theatre.

He's worked extensively with Stephen Sondheim - a personal high point - was asked to sing in "Les Miserables" before the Royal Family in Hyde Park, and was invited again to sing "Les Mis" before President Chirac at Windsor Castle.

He directed & performed in "From West End to Broadway", featuring six leading West End artists in concert; sang on the film soundtrack of "The Wedding Date", and worked with Michel Legrand and Boublill/Schonberg on an exciting new project "Margueritte", opening in the West End in 2008.
