Michael McKell Vocal Range Bottom E to A above middle C. London born and bred, Michael began his career as a singer-songwriter, with recording deals from Phonogram, Warner Brothers and EMI. He has extensive experience as a session singer & songwriter for many artists including Toyah, Elaine Paige and Boy George. Michael also toured with 10cc, and with the popular French star Julien Clerc. He later studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute, followed by extensive theatre work, including the Narrator in "Blood Brothers". Michael starred in the Rod Stewart/Ben Elton musical "Tonight's the Night", earning the nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical, in the Whatsonstage Theatre Awards. He created the Jaggeresque character of Stoner - a high energy rock-and-roller, belting out songs at the threshold of pain! (Some slightly more restrained samples are also included here). Currently starring in "Doctors" for the BBC, he's even been asked to sing in the series - some bedside manner! Impersonations: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards.
