German-born Gertrude studied Drama, Art History & Literature (M.A.) at Augsburg University and at the Faculte des Lettres in Nice and classical singing with Marie Hayward-Segal in London.

Cabaret: "From Brecht to Brel"(Solo with piano) and "Foreign Affair" (4-part harmony group) at the Theatre Museum, Brighton Festival, New End Theatre and Player's Theatre; "Brecht - A Foreign Affair" (solo with partners) at Southwark Playhouse, Wimbledon Theatre & Riverside Studios; "Ports of Call" at the Drill Hall, Wimbledon Studio, Edinburgh Theatre Festival (Traverse), Circol' Malda and Teatro Santa Coloma, Barcelona.

Musical Theatre: Played Magenta in "The Rocky Horror Show" on European tour, and at Teatro Vittoria, Rome. Played Ursula in "Boris Vian", at the Britten Theatre.

Modern Classical: "Glad Day" song cycle (Steve Martland), solo at Helsinki and Utrecht Music Festivals. "De Stijl" (Louis Andriessen), solo in BBC2 series "Modern Composers", plus live with the Dutch Schoenberg Ensemble at the Q.E.Hall, London, RAI/ Turin, and Vale of Glamorgan Festival - also with Brooklyn Philharmonic at B.A.M., New York & CD recording.

General: Numerous pop songs in German & French for British publishers; Backing vocals for Dagmar Krause's Eisler record "Tank Battles", and numerous vocals for TV and radio commercials.

IMPERSONATIONS: Marlene Dietrich, Edith Piaf.
