Anna-Jane Casey* Vocal Range Mezzo/Soprano to C above top C (Mid-range Belt.) Anna-Jane hails from Lancashire, and worked extensively as a child in theatre, TV and radio. She made her West End debut at 16 playing Rumpleteaser in "Cats", moving on to the original W. End casts of "Children of Eden", "Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat" and "Grease". For two successful years she played Buffy, Dinah & Pearl in "Starlight Express", then on to the dream role of Anita in "West Side Story". She played Mickey in "My One & Only" and Frankie in "On Your Toes". The title role in "Sweet Charity" (Sheffield) - nominated by TMA for Best Actress - was followed by "Piaf", again at the Crucible. She won the 2005 TMA Award for Best Performance in a Musical playing Mabel in "Mack & Mabel", then starred as Velma in "Chicago", and Dot in "Sunday in the Park with George". Anna-Jane has performed in cabaret and concert throughout Britain and Europe, and regularly records with the BBC Radio Concert Orchestra. An extraordinarily gifted, natural singer with a huge vocal range. Singing Styles: Musicals, light opera, comedy, pop, rock, R&B, jazz & blues.
